51CrV4 Spring steel
51CrV4 (1.8159) Spring steel has good mechanical and technological properties and high hardenability. Vanadium in the steel can refine the grain size, reduce the overheat sensitivity, improve the strength and toughness. The steel grade has high fatigue strength and high yield ratio, but poor weldability and low cold deformation plasticity.
